Become a Grounds person at the Canungra Area Golf Club – Witheren
Earn $30-$35 per hour up to 30 hours a week.
Are you passionate about delivering an excellent golfing experience? Canungra Area Golf Club invites an experienced and dedicated Grounds person to join us. If you have an eye for detail, enjoy working outdoors, and aspire to be part of a growing golf facility, this role could be your perfect match.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including course setup, mowing, spraying and maintain bunkers.
- Apply turf management practices like pest control and weed management to maintain greens, fairways, and roughs.
- Safely operate and care for course equipment and machinery to keep everything running smoothly.
- Collaborate on course improvement projects, from bunker renovations to landscaping.
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards throughout the course.
- Contribute innovative ideas for continuous course improvements and player experience enhancements.
What You Bring:
- Previous experience as a Grounds person or in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
- Knowledge of turf management, including fertilization, irrigation, and disease prevention.
- Competence in using and maintaining turf equipment and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving maintenance issues.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical fitness and resilience for outdoor work in varied weather.
