About the Canungra Area Golf Club
Opened in 1972, Canungra Area Golf Club is a small, friendly and affordable club. 15 minutes from the Gold Coast its well worth the drive to play this 2 tee 18 hole course which has been designed to accommodate players of all skill levels, nevertheless, at 5663 metres, is still a challenging layout. Canungra Area Golf Club is surrounded by quiet bushland and the steep forested slopes of the Gold Coast hinterland. The upper reaches of the Coomera River meander through Canungra Area Golf Club and flows down the left side of the 2nd/11th and 6th/15th fairways. Most tee shots require some shaping for the longer hitters with well-designed fairways and tall pines and gobble-bushes catching anything offline.
There is a licensed Clubhouse, practice green, short to mid iron practice area, and BBQ facilities. Carts, pull buggies and golf clubs are all available to hire at the Clubhouse.
The course is open seven days per week from dawn to dusk. It is a 9 hole golf course featuring 18 different tees; the men’s course is par 70 and runs for 5582 metres and the ladies’ course is par 72 and is 5233 metres in length.
